M3U Playlist Issues

Currently trying to create a playlist with all of my videos in a specific order.

My folder set up like:

\ (500) Days of Summer \ VTS_01_1.VOB   (continues through VTS_01_5.VOB)

\ Arrested Development \ Arrested Development S01E01.VOB   (each episode has its own VOB file)

\ Big \ VTS_01_1.VOB   (continues through VTS_01_5.VOB)

My M3U playlist is in the root of the drive and looks like this:

#EXTM3U

\ (500) Days of Summer \ VTS_01_1.VOB

\ Arrested Development \ Arrested Development S01E01.VOB

\ Arrested Development \ Arrested Development S01E02.VOB

\ Big \ VTS_01_1.VOB

However, when playing the M3U playlist from Files, it only plays the Arrested Development episodes and skips right over the movies.

Anyone else having similar issues with M3U playlists and VOB files?

As far as I know, DVDs (with encoded menu structure) are not going to work in playlists.

Arrested Development is probably working because each episode is its own VOB file without any of the navigation encoded into the VOB.

I’ve never tried doing what you’re describing, so it’s just a guess.

Thanks, that’s what I thought was this issue.

Anyone else ever able to get an M3U playlist to work with that kind of VOB files?

Nope, but have you tried converting to ISO and use those in a playlist?
