Live TV or Live TV Plus

I intend to purchase a wd TV media but I do not know the difference between Live TV or Live TV Plus - anyone out there knows?

The names that WD uses are all similar and you have to be careful or you may not get what you think you are buying. The WD TV Live is the older media player that is no longer current, but still might be on the shelf at some stores. The WD TV Live Plus is basically the same thing, except that it has DRM and is therefore able to support Netflix and Hulu Plus, etc. The Live Plus model has also been discontinued. The newest player is called the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (SMP). It has the next generation chipset, and has a newer, more user friendly interface that is more like the WD TV Hub interface. Also, the SMP has Wifi built in. The older models required you to buy your own USB wireless adapter ir you wanted to use Wifi. If you are looking for a media player, the new SMP is the one to get.
