Large RAID Server not reconized by WD TV LIVE PLUS

I have 4 bay enclousure with four 3tb seagate drives in RAID 5 (9tb) that isnt reconized at all by the WD TV

the other four bay 2tb enclousure in jbod (8tb) shows up but only shows one folder…

is this a firmware issue or will the WD not read anything over a certain size?

please forgive me if this has been addressed before

There’s no size limitations when using NAS.

It’s not a NAS enclosure just a raid enclosure with USB 3.0/esata. It doesn’t even show up

Then it’s not a “server,” hence why your subject confused me.

Multi-disk USB enclosures aren’t supported.

well shucks, obviously I’m learning as I go, new to most of this, but this time at my own expense…

I see you use the QNAP NAS, would you recommend one of their four bay nas for my media needs… just need something I can plug 8TB directly into the WD TV, I’ll keep my raid 5 enclosure as a backup…

I should mention that I have had network share problems with the samba changes in my Mac OS and cant find a media server (twonky, ps3, etc) that fits my needs, thus why I wanna plug a large storage device directly into the WD TV LIVE

I appreciate all the guidance

IMHO, a QNAP is probably overkill if you’re plugging it directly into just a WD…

My QNAPs are all on my home network and accessible from anywhere in the world as a result.  ;)
