I have last years model wdtv. A friend of mine has the new model, with usb connections in front and back(the old model has back + side). Can these two models use the same software? As far as I see on some sites the old models software is 1.06.15. Is that correct? Are they both reffered to as “wdtv live” or is one called something else? I like the new one, by the way. If it supports 6 tb my book, I will consider bying one. Is updating the new one to 1.07.15 a good thing, or is the new software full of bugs like always?
They use different firmware as they are differnet devices. One is the WD TV live and the newer one is the WD TV Live Streaming.
