Just got the WD TV LIVE (Not the Plus) and downloaded the latest update (1.04.17 - release date 12/30/10).
Everything works on the remote except the FAST FORWARD and NEXT buttons. It works…maybe once out of 30 or 40 presses - distance “MAY” be a cause but it is so erratic that I can not make that determination. Sometimes, it works at 15 feet away…but won’t work at 12 inches away. And vice versa. I have tried on 20 different videos of different types I have on my hard disk. They all play fine except the FF and the NEXT functions.
I don’t think it’s the battery because every other buttons on the remote work with just one push of the button 100% of the time. It is just the FF and the NEXT buttons. Is it possible that something is wrong with those 2 buttons, physically speaking?
Any ideas? I love this device but I can’t use it if I can’t FF the vids.
Also, is there a way to make the video resume at the point I stopped watching once I leave the video to watch a different vid and return to finish?
