Doesn't turn on! Brand new, upgraded WD TV Live!

So, I have just bought the WD TV Live HD Media Player and I connected it and it found new upgrade… So, I let it upgrade… Everything went fine… But I find that there is a major plobem…

If I press the power button while it is working, the power idicator will go out, but I cannot turn it on from the remote… The only way to turn it on is by unplugging the power supply and re-plugging…

Is this normal? Is it a firmware bug or should I send it back and ask for a new one?

Try the following

With the unit on reset via the side paperclip button, the unit will reboot.

reset to factory defaults via the internal menu

unplug from the power for some minutes

do all 3 before using the unit again.

Resetting is about the only thing a user can do to get the unit working.

The only thing I’ve noticed since the latest firmware update is that if I turn it off and then try to turn it on like 20 seconds later it wont start up right away…and after a min or so the power light finally goes on.

I tried them both… And nothing happens…

By the time I press the power button and it shuts down, the only way to turn it on is to unplug and plug again…

Is it only my WD TV? Should I have it sent back and demand a new one?

I would assume that it is now faulty and you should return it.

Same problem after latest update, except I have this unit for almost a year. Any ideas?
