Connecting WD live to the Home Theather?

Hello all,

I’m just a newbie in this world and sorry if i ask some basic questions.

I just bought WD live and it is simply amazing. Now i want to connect it to Home Theather System. My HDTV is Sony KDL-40EX501 and HT is Sony BDV-L600.

So, i plugged the WD live to the TV via HDMI. HT has 2 HDMI and 1 optical ouputs. Can i connect it via optical? What are the best options / settings?
