Hello!
I have subtitle in my language - Latvian.
for exsample: “Neciešu braukšanu pa ūdeņiem.”
when i add this subtitle to movie MKV file. Then WD TV Live show this subtitle
like this: “Necie u brauk anu pa ū de iem.”
Some advice?
As far as I know, about the only thing you can do, is go to the “Ideas Lab” section and vote on the idea to add UTF-8 support for foreign subtitles.
Are your files saved in UTF-8 format?
You might have to change encoding support as it defaults to Western Europe. Go to Settings > System Settings> additional encoding support and try 1 of the 2 Central Europe encodings to see if your subtitles are displayed correctly.
I try everything. Change the encoding. All the same. Then I try in mkvmerge put this utf-8 encoding for subtitles, but then they are wrong by diferent way.
So open a request in the ideas lab and/or convert your subs to idx/sub with AVIAddXsubs (must be external though, MKVs with internal subs look bad).
