My re-encoded TS file has a frame rate of 59.940. i.e. exactly the same as the original frame rate. It is closer to the standard 60 fps. That file still has a small sync issue but not nearly as bad ar the MKV file with a 59.880 fps.
If nothing else comes of this thread, I’ll keep a close watch on future videos. I’ll check the frame rate of every one to see if the sync problem corresponds to the frame rate. It may be a while before I have enough empirical evidence but I’ll post back with the results.
