Hmmm yes it looks like the Hub has issues when you have multiple files in one folder…
I don’t use this method for movies BUT for tv series i totally understand why this is better…As if you have a complete series you can easily generate the cover tickle sheets for the entire season
I have not tested multiple sheets myself so i will do so and see what can be done…
Quick question do you have the backdrops enabled or disabled ?

i’ve totally rip off the backdrops…the same happens
The problem is when you have multiple sheets in one folder… it lags!
@ firetix and extremedigital and the other cracks…
The availible tutorial, how to use thumbgen to customize wdtv live hub might be a little outdated with the new version 1.2.4 of thumbgen. Might it be possible to get a updated tutorial on youtube or via pdf.
Think a lot has changed due to the hub support of thumbgen right now.
I would wait on making a new tutorial, I was going to but I believe TG is going to have a newer, more compatible version out fairly soon. In which will generate the year correctly and generate the backgrounds.
So to keep from have to do double the work, you might want to wait for the next release.
→ you just don’t need to manually create the dummy files.
with the latest version, in options–>input/output naming
in Movieinfo export just select .xml and Export using WDTV Live Hub format(but note: backdrops links are not generated) so you may want to generate non transparent movie sheets…
in Main Moviesheet select .jpg (.png for transparent one… but then after generating the movie sheet rename to a .jpg file)
I would like to use similar theme [the below theme is DVD2, I like DVD3 better] to the one in Image1:
Using the blank space at the bottom to have the same as the bottom part of Image2:
Now I want all the images across the bottom to be like the green box in image2 [How to train a dragon] and not like the yellow box [inception].
Now I do not use the dummy file and I am using TG 1.2.4.
I would love this to happen with each movie being in their folder but this would be a firmware issue as I am understanding. So I have moved a select movies outside their respective folders into 1 folder for testing this feature.
There are a bunch of these type of themes that have that extra space at the bottom that could also take advantage of this feature.
You need to post the pics somewhere else like Flickr or other site. They want show up here for others to see until they are approved by a moderator, which could be some time.
To make the thumbnails look the same you have to modify “rv_gallery_browse_page.xml”.
Look for the first line that says "image name=“th0_f” and modifiy “th0_f” through “th6_f”, make sure you modify the line above that too which shows the width, height and y settings.
You should be able to use the same settings as the lines above that start "image name=“th0”, these are the non-focused icons.
Then look for the line towards the bottom that says: “” this is the focus frame, all 7 lines “frame_0 thru frame_6” will need to modified.
Also, if you want a little cleaner look, and get rid of the colored icons (dashboard, filter/sort, etc., you don’t really need them anyway since there are shortcut buttons on the remote), you can delete the line “” which as at the top.
Then at the bottom you’ll see the line “”, change it to “”.
Then find the xml: “rv_browse_common_widgets_new.xml”, copy it then paste it and change the copy name to “rv_browse_common_widgets_new_gallery.xml”, then open it and delete the following lines:
This will get rid of the colored icons, but this is just if you want a cleaner look.
I think I may have misunderstood what you meant. I thought at first you meant the size, but if what you meant is the image (ie: having the Coverart show up as the focused image) then that’s not possible.
Because of the way it uses the Moviesheets, the focused thumbnail and the moviesheet are the same and you can’t have 2 separate images for them.
As for making the first image that you have show the thumbnails, you’ll have to use a different Moviesheet (one with a transparent area) or make one to look like you want it. Try Thumbgen Desiger to make your own.
I love what you’ve done but I’m having trouble getting the movie sheet I created using Thumbgen, to work and I hope this is the right forum to ask questions.
I downloaded a file containing some samples cinsisti8ng of a folder for the following three that I believe are your samples.
Alpha and Omega
Buried
Cairo Time
Assuming that’s correct that these are yours then if I have the Anondized 1.2.2v2 installed and am using Library mode and I have the Alpha And Omega sample copied to my Videos folder on my Media Hub then when I browse to the Alpha And Omega folder I should see the Moviesheet sample displayed across the entire screen, yes?
I believe when you are having trouble getting something to work then the best way to find out what is different from what you’ve done that does not work and a working one is to compare the 2 and find where the difference lies and I’m hoping the Alpha And Omega sample can do that.
I thought that if the Anodized Theme were in use then so long as the file names were as needed, like in the samples, then there was nothing else one needed like editing one or more parts of the xml file, is that correct?
If I can get this working I’d be happy to put together a semi-professional looking How-To Guide with screenshots and all. Creating training material and class demos is part of my job. To do op something like that though I first have to know it inside and out so that I can properly convey the info in print. I’ve been a fan of the WD TV Live device and file based movie watching for a few years now and love spreading the joy of the WD devices. I had misgivings early on with the Hub due to its inflexibility with USB drives compared to prior WDTV Live devices but I’ve moved past that and am ready to spread the gospel of the Hub.
Yes you should normally see the moviesheet, although it is extremedigital’s samples!
.
I’m assuming your are using the latest thumbgen , have generate dummy file at checked, and main moviesheet format set as .jpg or .png in input/output name
Next .
My folder structure is set as this eg.
/Buried -->Foldername
/Buried/Buried.mkv → video file
/Buried/Buried.jpg – >coverbox
/Buried/Buried.xml – >metadata
/Buried/Buried.mkv_sheet.mkv --dummyfile
/Buried/Buried.mkv_sheet.jpg --moviesheet
/Buried/Buried.mkv_sheet.xml --meta data (not needed if you’re using .jpg moviesheets/non-see through moviesheets)
For the moviesheet to display the .xml file is needed and media library must be turned on!
