i too had freezing …After much effort I have solved my problem.
For me I first disabled the lltd service in Windows 7 , that seemed not to help at all.
I then began to disconnect each computer on the network and restart the Wd and wait…each time the same thing
Freeze up after some amount of time.
Finally I unplugged my Seagate Network Storage device and all is perfect now.
