What's causing this?

Dear Sirs,

Lately when I turn on the hub it displays :

I remove the adapter from the electrical socket and I turn it on, it just then boots normaly, any ideas?

Can’t see your images until a moderator approves them.

What is the make and model of your TV

Do you have 12 bit color enabled? If so, try disabling it.

My TV is Sony bravia KDL40-HX800. Yes, in WD TV  LIVE HUB the 12 bit color is enabled. But why should I disable it since the tv does support 12 bit?

err…so you could maybe use your Live Hub

or Fault Diagnosis.

surely if it goes away, you can then highlight it as causing the screen corruption you have.

wdtvhub,

Since I got the wd tv live hub I set the 12 bit and I never had any issues with it. After the firmware upgrade 2.05.08 and rolling back to 2.04.13 I’m facing those coloration issues but not on every boot up, I’ll try as they suggested.

It could be a sync issue between the TV set and the live hub and I just need justification for that, because when I remove it from the power and switch it on, it just then boots normally! (12 bit is still set)

If they want me to diagnose it, I’ll send them the dumped files whenever it occurs again.

To do:

  1. try your WDHUB with a different TV

  2. try your WDHUB with a different input on your original TV

  3. try a different HDMI cable

  4. try using Component video cables

  5. try a different device on the same TV’s input
