WD wants feedback

… to help them create their next generation of media players. Well, since they’ve been deaf to our ears at least for the past year, why do they warrant our feedback? Product was great, too bad you dropped support.

Hi toejam,

This survey is designed to give you the opportunity to provide feedback about past products and share your recommendations and wishes for future ones. If you’re not satisfied with past decisions, take the survey and share your opinion.

I think it’s great that they are asking for user feedback for a new generation

If you have abandonment issues, and don’t want to provide any feedback …

then move-on … and purchase a different brand media player

simple as that.

Jubei provided the best advice - use the feedback to help WD understand how they can improve.  Part of the improvement should be their customer relations.  Unfortunately, none of the survey asked how WD could improve the relationship with their customer - it was totally product focused.  It’s as if they have blinders on and accept that the way they abandoned their customer base is acceptable business practice.  It will be good for WD to hear that they had a good product and need to improve their customer relations skills.  Maybe they will hear it, maybe not.

Anyway, I’ve provided them feedback and appreciate your input.
