New Firmware-Miracast?

I see that my live hub is now considered a legacy product.  Does this mean that there will be no further support for this product?  Any new firmware to keep it running paralell to the Live?  I’m really hoping to be able to use the Miracast feature available on the Live to mirror my android devices on my TV.

Anyone know of an alternative?

Welcome to the Community Knarf469. Currently there is no information for future firmware updates on the Live Hub.

Thank you for replying.  Can you give me a little more information on what it means that the device is now a legacy product?  Does that mean that it will no longer have any new features or firmware? 

If this is the case, what is the new product that is designed to replace the Live Hub?  I have used this product for years and I really like what it does.

Legacy means that you can forget any new official updates and hope that someone will make mod of official firmware or make stable GPL FW. So far, neither of those two are available.

And there was a rummor of new android based WD Media Player in 2012, but since than, nothing…

But you can use throw or play to on android to play music, photos and videos from your android device to Hub.

Also you can pair your youtube app on android device and than select and play youtube videos to Hub. For that you must start Youtube Leanback app, and it´s dodgy app on Hub, tends to crash a lot.
