Doesn't look like it; at least, not initially.
My SMP running 1.16.xx is working with profiles now, but my Hub is not (using whatever version was released concurrently.)

If you can play it in a Chrome browser window, you can fling it to your ChromeCast.
So can I easily play all my media files on the chromecast like I can with the hub. Where do I store my media files like I do on the hub. Can chromecast be a nas like the hub. Doesn't chromecast need a PC / tablet / smartphone to be on unlike the hub which is standalone.
Etc etc etc.
Chalk and cheese.

Stay away from the Chromecast if you have a 42" or bigger TV. Netflix runs poorly won't give you as nice of a picture as wdtv live smp or a roku will. You can play some things via chrome tabs but it's just not worth it as the device is anemic and is a poor performer. It's a great low cost device for smaller TV's in a dorm or extra room if all you need is netflix though.
