Can any one tell me how to plug and play USB content on this device. This is because every time I connect my USB device it tells me to sync with the wd internal memory. I have a lot of downloaded TV shows and movies that I want to watch instantly without having to sync and wait for the files to be copied every time.

Sync from USB Storage… to Off

It will still read all the media when you plug in. It needs to to display the files.

But all you needed to do when it asks to synch was press cancel.

Yea you can just press cancel and then go to videos. Change your content source to local> usb 1 or 2 and you’ll see your videos on the external HD.
