Found this on the Live Plus updates page:

What is this 1.06.18.L version?  Is this a new product or a test firmware?

Huh.   Good question.   That part number (WDBREC0000) doesn’t appear anywhere in Google except that page itself.

Here’s my guess:

It’s firmware for a WDTV Live Plus model that is intended only for Latin America.

As far as I know the CURRENT Live Plus is only available in the US / Canada.

They may have had to do something specific for NetFlix:

I have a WDBABX0000 model, but i can’t connect to Netflix from Venezuela, it’s possible update with the WDBREC0000 firmware?

Why WDBABX0000 model is not update too?

I just buy a WD TV LIVE PLUS  in usa, and bring it to Mexico, i can,t use with netflix, i call net flix and told me that they are working in have the license for this products to Mexico, what do you recomend? return it and buy a wii?wait until have the licence?    other question…i upgrade the firmware and now i cant use nothing? the meda player canot conect to internet, …what can i do?
