Bizarre conflicting instructions...

Just tried letting my live hub do it's automatic firmware update... Downloaded fine, rebooted then stuck on 0% update for an hour.... Finally gave up and looked on the net and found http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/updates/?family=wdfwdtv_livehub Where it specifically says to make sure that the only USB attached is the one with update files on (presumably if you're updating via a stick)... However the hub itself says on screen to not unplug any storage!!! I powered off, unplugged my 2tb drive and powered back on and the update kicked straight in..... Might be an idea for the NEXT update to make sure the instructions on the update page of the actual device are actually correct!

Well, that's not contradictory...

 

The note is indicating that that you should unplug any other USB storage, and then apply the update.

 

It's not telling you to unplug it WHILE you're doing the update...
