WD smartware is creating log files in the folder Users\XXX\Western Digital\WD Smartware\Logs. Most of them are 10+ Gb, and it saves 14 days of them, eating up over 100 gb of my local HDD. Are these files necessary? If yes, is there a way to reduce their size or the number being saved? A typical file name is: WDsmartware.exe.log-2013-11-4.log
I’d call WD about it, no idea if those logs are what Smartware uses to keep track of files copied.
I sent them an email. Will let you know what they say.
