Thanks for your quick response. I have been playing with this for awhile to try and identify the discrepencies. As it stands, the original source and destination (via windows copy/paste) are the same; the wd copy is different, more bytes, less folders and files. Stats are:
Original Source - 618,062,652,593 bytes, 99,016 files, 4,635 folders.
WD copy - 619,280,959,777 bytes, 97,389 files, 3,922 folders.
Took a quick look at some differences between the two: WD seems to drop Thumbs.db and 0 byte folders.
Will continue to identify differences.
