I just bought a MyPassPort Ultra and installed the software. I tried running the software and get message to “attach WD supported drive” I have the drive attached to a PC on my network but it is not physically attached to the PC that I am trying to run the software on. Is it not possible to run the software the way I have my hardware setuop?
WD SmartWare does not support USB drives over a network. However, it will work with a WD NAS (Network-attached Storage) device.
