At this moment WD SmartWare is optimized to work with internal disk drive sources, and external sources may not be able to add additional files at once. If possible, then it will be available using the “File Backup” enigne as opposed to the “Category Backup” engine.

I would recommend creating an Idea or add your vote into an existing one in order to increase awareness of this feature.
