WD SmartWare + WD Drive Utilities + WD Security with old HDD My Book

Hi there!

I have 3 HDD My Book:

WDBACW0030HBK-NESN (3TB) - My Book ( F: ) - Year 2012
WDBACW0040HBK-NESN (4TB) - My Book ( G: ) - Year 2013
WDBFJK0040HBK-NESN (4TB) - My Book ( H: ) - Year 2014

WD SmartWare works well with the first two discs from 2012 and 2013, but with the last one (2014) doesn’t show me all the opcions in Configuration. I can’t do any HDD test SMART or set a password…

If I want to do a test on disc 2014 I have to open WD Drive Utilities.

If I want a password I have to open WD Security.

WD Drive Utilities y WD Security work only with my 2014 HDD WDBFJK0040HBK-NESN (4TB) - My Book ( H: ), but not with the others WDBACW0030HBK-NESN (3TB) - My Book ( F: ) - 2012 and WDBACW0040HBK-NESN (4TB) - My Book ( G: ) - 2013. They don’t appear in the list.

Is this correct? Is there any software or driver problem?

Hello there,

The 2 units that do not show up on the WD security or WD drive utilities, Apparently do not have this software on the download section and this is why they do not show up on the software, try to check if you are able to go to drive settings on the Smartware software and see if you can setup the password and diagnose the drive since this software was not available at the time this drives were released.
