Threats to Dropbox

Hi All

I have a WD Elements 3 TB external drive.

The problem is that I linked it to Dropbox and now my Avast virous software keeps informing me that there is a threat.

I have looked in my Dropbox File and the files Avast are blocking is the

dropbox.cache when i open this file there are hundreds of Temp files that have been blocked by avast.

should i delet these files or allow them?

sorry but this is a question for dropbox and/or avast. not a mycloud support community

this didnt happen before i instaled the WD software so it is about my WD product.

You can’t “link” an Elements USB drive to Dropbox.   

This has nothing to do with the My Cloud NAS —  so what “software” are you talking about so that the thread can be moved to the correct forum?

Hi amazingdrew, are you using Smartware to backup your files to Dropbox?
