Smartware for Vista does not extract

Hi:

I just installed a MyCloud 3T and it seems to work fine.

The only problem is when I tried to download Smartware for Vista, it came as a zip file. When I extracted it - and and empty folder.

On my laptop, with win7, it downloaded with out the zip file. I simply ran it during the down load.

This may be a zip problem, I’m not sure.

Any ideas?

As an alternative, you could extract the files in the Microsoft Windows 7 computer and proceed to copy the extracted installer by means of a USB thumb drive/flash drive or the Public Share of your WD My Cloud.

I did the same thing by using the My Cloud itself to copy the file to the Vista machine.

It works now.
