Retrieve earlier backup after re-install Windows 7

My Book Essential

Windows 7 Home Premium

Had to re-install Windows on my pc.

Had a backup with WD Smartware .

Re-installed Windows 7 with all applications, including wd smartware.

Wanted to retrieve back-upped data.

On the Home page of wd smartware it shows 140 GB in My Book (my backupped files).

But in Retrieve page I cannot find my earlier back upped files.

In Explorer in the file “My Book” there are 3 files:

  • fe4429baa1434d036f67f31415241       -      mrtstub
  • WD_SmartWare   -   subfile   -  2 volumes
  • WDSmartWare.swstor    -  config plus other

How can I retrieve selected backupped files from My Book???

If the WD Smartware can’t see the BACKUP VOLUME then I will suggest you to copy the files manually to the computer.

The data should be under WDSmartWare.swstor or WD_SmartWare.  Move it to the your desktop and browse the files to see which want you need.
