Re-installing WD SmartWare for Windows 7

Just had a hard drive crash and replace on my computer.  Have never had to restore from "My Book" in the year I've been using it for weekly backups.  When trying to restore files I am unable to find the WD SmartWare software on my device.  I assume it has been erased somehow in my initial setup a year ago (formatting error?).  I can't seem to find a download for a full software install of WS SmartWare for Windows 7.  Please help!

Is there any chance that following the instructions on this link will overwrite data backed up to the external drive?
