QuickView keeps disappearing from System Tray after sleeping my laptop

I’m running the latest version of QuickViewv2.0.0.38 (QuickView version 3.2.0.9) on my laptop running Windows XP SP3 with my My Book Live.  Every time I put my laptop into stand by and resume the tray icon disappears. It’s not simply hidden in the inactive icon area, it’s completely gone.   I have to kill the WDDMStatus.exe task and re-run it to get the icon back.

This has been a problem for a while now and I was hoping the latest version would fix it, but it didnt.   Is there any way to fix this?

Hello,

Have you tried uninstalling the the application and installing that back again?

Also make sure that your computer has all the latest updates available for Windows XP.

I’ve recently upgraded, which did an uninstall and reinstall.  I have all the latest updates.

The program appears to be running, it just disappears from the system tray.  I can get it back by killing the WDDMStatus.exe process and running it again, but I shouldn’t have to do that.

This is the only program I have this problem with.
