I have a passport formatted in exfat so it will work on mac and pc, and I am attempting to reinstall the password stuff, but when i run WDsmartware from the drive all I get is application not started from drive.
Can anyone help? Ask if you need me to clarify something.
EDIT: have been trying this And i have found this page but my smart ware installation doesnt show the drive when i go to the settings tab
WD SmartWare installs and runs on the host operating system as opposed to the WD Passport drive itself. The reason it is unable to detect your WD Passport is because WD SmartWare does not support the exFAT file system at this moment. The device should be recognized as soon as it is formatted to NTFS.
