With deep embarassment I have to say I am confused about the software that was giving trouble with mac’s new OS Maverick.
Is it only the software apps on the the computer hard drive or does it have something to do with the drives on the individual WD hard drives.
At the moment I do not have 10.9 on the computer. I had a serious crash when it was on. I don’t use WD’s back-up program, so am I Okay even if I don’t up grade? I did try to upgrade, however.
Right now I have on my computer
-WD Drive Utilities.app v 1.1.7.5
-WD Quick View Uninstaller.app v 1.1 With an “X” over the icon.
-WD SmartWare Uninstaller.app v 3.1.0.14 With an “X” over the icon.
-WD SmartWare.app v 1.3.6.1
Looking at Apple’s listing of my hardware, both WD external drives say version 10.25.
Is my computer safe?
