Cannot install WD SmartWare. "Newer version of WD Smartware already installed. Exiting setup."

Hi all,

I bought  a WD My Cloud 2T today.

WD SmartWare was not working correctly, so I unistalled it.

Now when I try to resintall WD SmartWare, I get this message:

“Newer version of WD SmartWare already installed. Exiting setup.”

I have tried everything I cant think of, including deleting the remaining registry entrys for SmartWare, but Windows still thinks it is installed.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Solved.

In add/remove program’s, there was an update in the list I had to uninstall, very odd.
