Backup & Retrive buttons cannot be pressed in WD Smartware

When I open my WD Smartware page it will not allow me to click on the backup or the retrive tabs. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, first verify if the external drive is recognized by the PC. You can also try uninstalling Smartware and doing a clean instaltion of the latest version. 

How to uninstall WD SmartWare Version 2.2.x and earlier from Windows (8, 7, Vista, or XP) and Mac OSX (10.4, 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7)
