i forgot password in WD passport essential with smartware

Anyone can help? I cant access and i really want to move password protection function. Do I have to format disk.

If you forgot your password, the only option is to format the drive and start over.

but how to format the disc if we don't have passwords? If I want to format the disc is jumping out that I don't have the disk access

Sorry I did not clarify,

put the password in wrong 5 times and you will be prompted to erase the drive.  If you are not being prompted to unlock the drive, access the WD SmartWare VCD and double click on the unlocker.
