How to Eject My Passport Essential 500GB WD

Hi

I have used my Passport Essential 500GB WD, I could not eject it  after i finish my copy, i have to shut down my computer then pull the WD out. Do i have to lock it again so that i could eject the external hardrive. how could i eject it without shutting down my pc? (using Win 7 now BTW)
