Hi i badly need help, i just recently placed all my important files in my passport, and then placed the password to be locked. 

after a while i tried to use my passport again, and then entered my password, then it said invalid password! i cannot erase my drives for all my documents are there!

Sorry to tell you there is no way to reset the drive. If you can’t rmemeber the password you are out of luck. You might try the drive with another user account like the Guest account or another PC.

You may be able to do a hail mary on the thing if you keep entering a bad password until it prompts you to format the drive, (depending on what version of SmartWare you have this may or may not work, look here) go ahead with the format and then use a free file recovery program like Recuva or Wise Data Recovery to get the files back.
