My new se passport 1TB USB 3 -2 doe"s not recognize my blu ray dvd player or PS3 player why!

Well, the PS3 only recognize drives that are formatted in FAT 32 and most likely, your Blu Ray player have the same limitation. This drive is factory formatted in NTFS.

On top of the format check and see if there is a max drive size your player can use.
