When should I Erase My Passport?

Concerning my Passport Ultra 1GB Portable unit…I have it connected to my PC , scheduled to automatic backup weekly, 2 copies.

The Hard Drive is currently full.   Should I assume that it will continue to backup my 217 GB’s on my PC untill it fills up and than I should Erase the Harddrive and start over. ?

I bought this Portable Hard Drive to have a failsafe mostly to save my Pictures, in case of a corruption or failure in the PC.

Make sure that your Passport is not the only copy of your pictures. Remember a backup means 2 copies on different devices.
