Western Digital Elements 320GB not working

I have a WD external hard drive that just stoped working, when i open my computer it doesn’t show up so i went to disk management and it says that the disk is unknown and not initialized and when i try to initialize it with either MBR or GPT, it says incorrect function.

Hello, try using another USB cable or connecting it to another PC.

Hello, i have the same problem on my western digital element 500GB… I just did what ever suggested here, and it’s still not working…

it’s not about how i could used the disk again by reformating it, but i really need the data inside that disk… please help me to get my data back… it’s totally important…
