Western Digital Elements 1,5TB - Possibility to get the drive out of the case?

Hi!

I´m an owner of a Western Digital Elements 1,5TB hard drive. The micro USB port on the drive is broken so I can´t connect the drive to a pc anymore. Because there are no screws on the outside of the case, I´d like to ask if there is a chance to get the hard drive out of the case and connect it to an other adaptor. I hope that the hard drive isn´t connected via an special adaptor to the board so that it not possible to run the hard drive exept the way it runs in the original way.

That will void the warranty of the unit, also must likely the drive has the circuit board attached. I’ll suggest you to contact WD directly maybe they can help you with this case.
