Warranty RMA questions

Since the Warranty support is a robot, and there are no pages telling me what it is, can someone tell me what RMA is?

My hard drive doesn’t work, and I can’t access the data on it, and it makes clicking sounds. If I send it in for RMA, will I get the data back? I used the Serial Number in the warranty check and it doesn’t expire until 2015, so It should have some time left. I just want the data back, that’s it, I don’t care about the case.

Edit: Ok, I’m stupid. I only get a replacement drive, not the data. Sorry for that anyway.
