Warranty Issues

Hi

I have a 1TB WD HDD I bought in Australia( with a valid warranty) but the device is making clicking noise and won’t be recognised by the computer anymore. I currently reside in the UK. Can I oganise a RMA request in the UK office to have the harddrive replaced here or do I have to send it back to Australia for replacement.

I have written to the WD support team but havent heard anything yet.

Any info will be very appreciated.

Cheers

Hello,

You should be able to replace the drive on UK. First you need to update the region of the drive so it will allow you to create the RMA.

Please contact WD Support directly to request the information update.
