WD10TMVV-11TK7S1 1TB not recognized after power shutdown

Hello,

I have a WD10TMVV-11TK7S1 1TB that is no longuer recognized by Windows after a power shutdown.

I've read many posts on this forum that the problem could be the TVS diode because when I plug the HDD, the light goes ON but the drive is not recognized by Windows. There is no trace of burning and I dont smell anything.

But I'm unable to locate the D4 diode on the PCB.

Could you help me please to find the TVS diode.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards,

what makes you think that the pcb is actually failed? does your drive not spin when plugged in?

if it spins - its not a problem with your board.

Hello HDDRS,

Many thanks for your reply,

I can see a light on the disk when I plug it in Windows, but the drive is not recognized.

I've read several posts on several forums that it could be the D4 diode.

Kind regards,

Lamine
