proper procedure to recover that drive would be by imaging it with proper tools like DDI or Data Extractor, ect. sorry but recuva is not a proper tool for working with bad sectors/bad modules/ or otherwise failed drives unless you want to risk further damage/ dataloss. we’ve been getting numbers of cases lately that had been abused by pc shops, who use blunt recovery software on degrading drives while leavig them running for hours and hours… and most of them come with rings on platters (platter damage). if data is anything of important matter, consult with your local data recovery specialist.
