Are the portable drives (1 TB and 2 TB) compatable with both Mac and PCs interactively? Can I save files from my work station (iMac) and take it home to continue my work on my laptop (PC) and vice-versa?
A drive formatted NTFS for Windows is read only on a Mac. A drive formatted for Mac is not readable on Windows. You either have to get some software to overcome this or format the drive FAT32. Fat32 has a max file size of 4 gig and other drive size limits. I’m not familiar with EXFAT that is another possible alternative.
