Hi, I’m a long-time user of WD external HDDs, but I recently purchased a new 1TB external HDD and it is not giving me the option to select the “SETTINGS” tab in WD Smartware to allow me to password protect my HDD. Screenshot to follow:
Smartware is not recognizing the passport, check if you can see the passport when you go to the computer window and that you have the latest smartware version.
