Hi.

How can I permanently disable the ‘Sleep Mode’ or Advanced Power Management on my device?
I’m using this HDD on my PS3 and it sometimes goes to sleep mode making my console freezes.

I noticed the settings on Windows WD Utilities but looks like the setting only applied to the HDD when it is connected to my PC. Using another app (I tried HDD Scan and Ashampoo HDD control 2) to turn off the Sleep Mode also only effective temporarily on my PC, whenever I unplug my device the settings returns to the default.

The HDD in question is My Passport Ultra 500GB, WDBKXH5000ABK-01.

Hello,

I recommend that you contact Sony support for this since the Sleep mode on the drive only applies to Windows and Mac.
