when the cable got pulled, it most likely corrupted the portion of the drive where the password status is stored. once that happens, you are pretty much stuck with reformatting the drive and starting over. you have lost the data. that is if what joe recommends does not work. you could also try to update the firmware, but i’ve only seen that work once.
