i don’t think it’s a drive letter assignment issue … i’ve had that problem, and the drive just doesent “appear” in Windows 7 (ie. No errors … but the drive is there in computer management > disk management)
Looks like more of a USB driver issue since Windows 7 has encounted an “Error”
I would recommend installing the WD SES Driver 1st, and then connecting the WD Elements USB Hdd.
also, a bunch of info regarding External HDD’s not being recognised…
