Hi Everyone I have a WD Portable Hardrive. I think it a WD Elements 320GB Hard drive ( Had for about 2 years & got from curry’s). When I Plug it into my Laptop It powers up & has a white flashing light. It also dosn’t show up on my laptop. Is it fried? Can I get My date back for free?’
Before considering replacing make sure to check if the drive works with another cable.
You can also check if the drive appears on Disk Management.
Also try it on another PC and again with the laptop plugged in and not running on just the battery.
