Unable to save files onto WD My Passport

I’ve been editing a film in Final Cut Pro and when I go to save the project into the external drive, it gives me the message, “File Error: The specific file is locked.” Even when I try to drag folders from my desktop onto the drive, the circle with a line going through it appears and nothing saves.

Please help!
